Delaware State University, in partnership with Kaplan Financial Education, offers an education program that enables you to satisfy CFP Board requirements necessary to sit for the national exam.  This program benefits both experienced professionals seeking to advance their careers and those entering the field for the first time. Taught by working professionals, our flexible and convenient learning options allow you to master the 8 major domains covered on the CFP exam. Courses can be taken individually, or the full course can be taken sequentially and completes within nine months.

The next scheduled session will begin on April 5, 2019. Class sessions are held Friday nights from 6 to 9:35 PM and Saturdays from 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM. Please view the course schedule for more complete information.

The available courses include:

1. General Financial Planning Principles, Professional Conduct, and Regulation/Risk Management, Insurance and Employee Benefits (48 Hours). Cost: $750
2. Investment Planning (36 Hours) Cost: $750
3. Retirement Savings and Income (36 Hours) Cost: $750
4. Tax Planning (36 Hours) Cost: $750
5. Estate Planning (36 Hours) Cost: $750
6. Capstone Case Curse in Financial Planning (36 Hours) Cost: $850

Additional Costs: Textbooks must be purchased by students prior to the start of each course. A list of textbooks required for each course will be provided at a later date. To purchase your textbooks, you may call 888-450-4681 or visit your student portal.

CANCELATION, WITHDRAWAL, AND REFUND POLICY:

A participant who withdraws in writing up to one-week (seven business days) prior to the starting date of the course, will receive a refund, minus a $200 withdrawal fee. If the course is canceled due to not meeting the minimum enrollment, or due to unforeseen events, you will receive a full refund. This does not include the cost of any books or materials purchased separately.
