Rules and Policies Acknowledgement

1.     Photo identification is required. WCC Student ID, Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport are accepted. You must have the physical ID in order to test, no photocopies or pictures of IDs will be permitted. Certain tests, such as CLEP and GED, require a government issued photo ID. 

2.     Your phone and any other electronic devices including smart watches, fitbits and other fitness trackers, and tablets must be powered completely off when entering the testing center. Silencing or setting phone to vibrate is not acceptable. If a cell phone rings or vibrates while in the Testing Center, you may not be allowed to test again in the Testing Center.

3.     Children are not permitted in the testing center.

4.     Please read through this list of prohibited items: 

No food, drinks, music, ear buds, ear pieces, or headphones. No hats may be worn during testing. Hoods may not be worn while testing. No pencil boxes. Water & other bottles if needed have to have the labels removed. Only clear bottles are allowed. Only analog watches are allowed.

5.     Restroom breaks are not allowed.

6.     All belongings must be placed on the shelves in the testing room prior to testing. Your desk should be clear of all non-approved materials while testing.

7.     You must turn in all scrap paper and other test documents to the proctor after you complete the test. Any note cards/sheets/formula sheets, if allowed during the test, will be collected by the proctor at the end of testing and given to your Instructor. You can retrieve your notes by talking with your Instructor.

8.     You will not be allowed to test during your class period.

9.     The Testing Center is monitored by security cameras. Proctors will also monitor testers. Any suspicious behavior will be documented and reported to your instructor. 

10.  Cheating will not be tolerated. An incident report will be given to your instructor, as well as the Testing Center Manager.

 

All forms of academic dishonesty are prohibited and will not be tolerated. If academic dishonesty is suspected, an incident report will be given to your instructor, as well as the Testing Center Manager. 

 

Per WCC Board Policy:

All forms of academic dishonesty, including but not limited to collusion, fabrication, cheating, and plagiarism, will call for discipline. 

1.     Collusion is defined as the unauthorized collaboration with any other person in preparing work offered for individual credit. 

2.     Fabrication is defined as intentionally falsifying or inventing any information or citation on any academic exercise. 

3.     Cheating is defined as intentionally using or attempting to use unauthorized materials, information, or study aids in any academic exercise. 

4.     Plagiarism is defined as the appropriation of any other person’s work and the unacknowledged incorporation of that work in one’s own work offered for credit. 

 

By signing and submitting this agreement, I acknowledge that I have fully read and understand the rules of the Testing Center. I understand that all forms of academic dishonesty/cheating will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action.
