The payment options for registering online are Visa, MasterCard or electronic check.

ACT-Residual

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time.
     
  • Description: MU Testing Services administers an ACT Residual Program, which means that the scores for ACT tests taken with us may only be sent to University of Missouri-Columbia and not to any other school or program.
     
  • Eligibility:Examinees may retake the residual ACT test after 60 days.
     
  • Fees: The fee for the ACT is $88.50, and is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
     
  • Day of Test: A valid photo I.D. is required on the day of the test. You may also bring an ACT approved calculator.
     
  • Score Reports:ACT test results are mailed to examinees in approximately 10 days following the test and simultaneously to Admissions at University of Missouri-Columbia.

CLEP

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time.
     
  • Description: The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program of credit-by-examination that offers students the opportunity to earn college credit for achievement acquired through previous study, personal experience, adult learning, and other sources.
     
  • Eligibility:It is important that students check with their academic advisor on the types of courses and number of credits that can be applied towards their program of study PRIOR to making an appointment and completing the CLEP exam. Only students who have fewer than 90 semester hours of college credit are eligible to take CLEP exams. In the majority of cases, the University of Missouri only accepts subject exams; general exams are usually NOT accepted. Click here for the University of Missouri-Columbia's policies. Students can retake the same CLEP test after 6 months.
     
  • Fees: The fees for each CLEP test are $143.50, which MUST include a payment of $63.50, which is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable. The second part of the fee is a $80 payment to CLEP paid at the CLEP My Account registration portal.  Registration and payment at the CLEP site is mandatory before you scheduled the exam.  Please bring your printed ticket from the CLEP portal when you arrive on test day.  See this video for more information.
  • Day of Test: Two forms of photo I.D. are required on the day of the test.  One ID must be government-issued.
     
  • Score Reports:CLEP unofficial test results are available immediately upon the completion of the test.

DSST

  • Fees:The fees for each DSST test are $138.50, which MUST include a payment of $58.50, which is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable. The second part of the fee is a $80 VISA, Mastercard, or American Express payment to DSST on the day of the test.

Individually Proctored Exams

  • Please call us at 573-882-4801 prior to payment to insure that the exam would be permitted to be administered at this facility.  Your test sponsor may have special requirements and needs before any proctored exam may be permitted.
  • Fees: The fee for a proctored exam is $63.50. During the registration process you will choose "Appointment" as your selection date.

(MCET) Missouri College English Test

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time.
     
  • Description: The Missouri College English Test (MCET) is an internal paper-and-pencil exam. The test lasts 40 minutes and consists of 90 questions; a T-score of 55 is required to pass the test.
     
  • Eligibility:Pre-journalism or journalism students who have received a C+ or lower in English 1000 are required to pass this test to be considered for admission to the School of Journalism. Examinees may retake this exam one time. Consult with your advisor if you do not pass the MCET after the second attempt.
     
  • Fees: The fee for the MCET is $63.50, and is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
     
  • Day of Test:A valid photo I.D. is required on the day of the test.

Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time.
     
  • Description: The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is an analytical ability test requiring the solution of problems stated as analogies. Most of the analogies on the MAT are verbal analogies, and few are quantitative. It is a computer-based test.
     
  • Eligibility:Examinees retaking exams should provide an authorization from the Psychological Corporation.
     
  • Fees: The fee for the MAT is $118.50, and is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
     
  • Day of Test:Two forms of I.D. with signatures are required, and at least one should be a valid photo I.D.
     
  • Score Reports: Unofficial scores are available immediately after the test.  Official scores will be mailed by the Psychological corporation within 3 weeks after the test.

National League for Nursing

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time.
     
  • Description: The National League for Nursing (NLN) examinations that are currently being offered at the University of Missouri Testing Office are Normal Nutrition and Pharmacology.

    The Normal Nutrition NLN test assesses the student's knowledge of normal nutrition and nutritional needs throughout the life cycle. The test is administered on-line as a multiple choice type exam. Examinees have up to 150 minutes to complete the exam.

    The Pharmacology in Clinical Nursing test assesses the student's understanding of pharmacological properties of medications and ability to utilize safe practice with medication administration. This exam is given on-line as a multiple choice type exam Examinees have up to 150 minutes to complete the exam.

     
  • Eligibility:Students in R.N. programs are typical candidates for the NLN (Pharmacology, Normal Nutrition) exams.
     
  • Fees: The fee for the Nutrition or Pharmacology test is $118.50, and is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
     
  • Day of Test: A valid photo I.D. is required on the day of the test.
     
  • Score Reports:NLN Normal Nutrition and Pharmacology results are available at the conclusion of the exam.

Foreign Language Placement Test

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time.
     
  • Description: The Foreign Language Placement Test (FLPT) is an computer-based exam. The FLPT is used for placement purposes for Spanish, French, or German at the University of Missouri.
     
  • Eligibility:Open to any student at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The FLPT may be taken once.
     
  • Fees: The fee for the FLPT is $63.50, and is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
     
  • Day of Test:A valid student photo I.D. is required on the day of the test.

Proctored ALEKS Exam

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time.
     
  • Description: The ALEKS exam is a computer-based exam used for mathematics placement at the University of Missouri. The proctored ALEKS exam is only for MU students seeking to test out of College Algebra AND take Math 1300 OR any MRP course outside of the Math department. Course credit is available for College Algebra with a sufficient score on the proctored ALEKS exam. Only take this exam if you are seeking the credit hours for College Algebra. See the Mathematics department's website for more information about the exam. Before registering, please consult with your adviser to make sure this exam is necessary. This is a timed two-hour exam.
     
  • Eligibility:Open to any student at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The proctored ALEKS is only for students with fewer than 90 hours of college credit. You must have no official record of previous enrollment in the course(s) in which credit is to be received to take this exam. tudents attending Summer, Fall, or Winter Welcomes should register for the ALEKS exam with the Summer/Fall/Winter Welcome option. Students should use the Current MU Student option for taking the ALEKS during the regular semester.
     
  • Fees: The fee for the proctored ALEKS is $65.50, and is payable online and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
     
  • Day of Test:A valid student photo I.D. is required on the day of the test.
     
  • Score Reports:ALEKS tests will be scored immediately after the exam and will be sent to Admissions at MU. A copy of the score will be given to the test taker at the conclusion of the exam.
