About Testing

Before Your Exam

  • Appointments must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advanced. This means you will be unable to schedule for the next morning at 3:00 PM the day prior as the system requires 24 hours.

  • Gather all items you will need on test day. The Test Center at Florida Gateway College will provide all exam materials but you'll need to bring your ID, Student Number / Social Security Number, HESI Login, and any other required materials depending on the exam you're taking.

  • If you need accommodations for any exam, please contact and meet with our Office of Disability Services prior to exam day.

  • Be sure to complete additional registrations, if necessary prior to exam day. This is especially important for HESI Entrance Exams for Florida Gateway Nursing Programs.

The Day of Your Exam

  • Please arrive at the Testing Center at least 15 minutes before your scheduled exam time.

  • When you arrive for your exam appointment(s) at the Testing Center, you must check-in at the front desk. Testing staff will assist you signing-in and getting prepared for your exam.

  • You must present a valid photo ID (e.g., an unexpired school-issued ID, military ID, driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, alternative ID form, etc) before you will be allowed to test.
