CLEP Information
CLEP - Credit by Exam Program
CLEP is a program to obtain college credit via examination. Students in Florida may earn up to 45 credit hours towards a degree via the CLEP or other college acceleration programs such as AP, DANTES, etc.
Registration for CLEP
Students must visit CLEP to create an account, register and purchase their CLEP exam. Once students have purchased their admission ticket, they can schedule their exam with a CLEP center to take their exam. Most centers charge an additional fee to proctor the exam, as the center receives no compensation from Collegeboard to administer the exam.
Exam Day
On exam day you will need a Govt.-Issued Photo ID and your CLEP Exam Ticket** printed from your CLEP account. Test Center staff will need this ticket to administer the exam. Failure, to bring these items on exam day, may cause your appointment to be rescheduled.
**You may not print your exam ticket at the Test Center.
After your exam
You will receive unofficial results after your exam. Official results will be mailed to the institution you selected within 2-3 weeks. Any additional exam results must be requested through your CLEP account online.
