How to Schedule Your Exam

All FGC students — including distance learning students, DSS students, and welding students must schedule exam appointment(s) in Register Blast at least 24 hours before their requested testing date(s) and time(s). Non-FGC students who have requested proctoring services must also schedule exam appointment(s) in Register Blast at least 24 hours before their requested testing date(s) and time(s).

Note: We strongly encourage you to schedule your exam appointments in Register Blast well before the 24-hour deadline.

To schedule an exam appointment in Register Blast:    

1.  Go to the Florida Gateway College homepage.

2.  Hover over Students on the quick links menu at the top of the page (under Search bar). A dropdown should appear. Click on “Testing” at the bottom of the menu.

3.  Click on “Schedule An Appointment” button on the center of the page.

4.  Click the drop-down and select the exam that describes the type of exam you are wishing to take:    

College Entrance Exam—PERT exam  for traditional / non-traditional students who are not dual-enrolled

Credit-by-Exam—Currently Florida Gateway College only offers Challenge Exams, CLEP examinations are currently not offered.

Dual-Enrollment—PERT exam for students who are dual-enrolling to earn high school and college credit.

Nursing—HESI Entrance, Upward Mobility Exams, and retakes for students applying or currently enrolled within our nursing programs

Non-FGC—Any exam taken by an examinee not enrolled at Florida Gateway College. This includes ParaPro, Distance Learning, and non-student PERT/TABE.

Public-Service - NFSI for firefighter and EMT programs.

TABE—Exams taken for entrance into one of our vocational programs.

5.  A calendar will appear. Click on the date and time you would like to schedule your exam appointment.

6.  If you are scheduling appointments for more than one exam appointment, click on “Add additional exam” and repeat the previous steps.

7.  After adding all of your exams to your cart, complete all requested fields on the "Exam Summary" page for each exam you are scheduling.

8.  If your exam does not require a fee, click “Register.” If your exam requires a fee, complete the “Billing Information” fields and then click “Register.”

9.  Once you have clicked “Register,” your email confirmation receipt will appear. Print the receipt for your records.
