Register for a NURS Entrance (A2) Exam In Person at DLTC
Nursing - HESI Entrance Exam (A2):
This exam is required for students seeking admission into the ADN (LPN to RN), BSN, or MEPN Nursing programs at WKU. It evaluates general knowledge in areas of Anatomy & Physiology, Math, and Reading Comprehension.
- Testing is offered based on admissions cycles in March - May, July - August, and October - January with breaks in February, June, and September. Check the website often to see what dates become available as they are only scheduled about two weeks in advance.
- LPN to RN program admission deadlines (Application and testing scores MUST be submitted to Nursing Department by these dates):
- Fall admission: June 1st
- Spring admission: September 1st
- Summer admission: February 1st
- BSN and MEPN programs admission deadlines (Application and testing scores MUST be submitted to Nursing Department by these dates):
- Fall admission: February 1st
- Spring admission: September 1st
The exam may be taken only ONE time during each application cycle.
On- Site Testing Registration Instructions for the Distance Learning Testing Center (DLTC)
- The test fee is $73.50 paid online (credit card, debit card or e-check) and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- You must bring a valid form of ID (non-expired --driver's license, passport, or other government issued identification with picture and signature ) to the testing center.
- On screen calculator is provided
- There is a 3 hour time limit for the LPN - RN program exam.

There is a two step process for registering for an NURS A2 Entrance exam In Person at WKU DLTC.
Step 1: Register for an appointment at WKU DLTC using this link: Register online now!
After clicking on the Register online now link, select the following:
- A. Choose a group: Non- Academic Exam - Exams not associated with a WKU Course
- B. Choose a group: NURS HESI (A2) Entrance In Person @ DLTC
- C. Choose a group: ADN(LPN-RN), BSN, or MEPN HESI (A2) Entrance In Person @ DLTC
- Complete the rest of the steps and add to cart then make payment.
Step 2: Create an Evolve account and register for a time slot in Evolve that corresponds to the date you scheduled with DLTC using one of these registration links:
