Register for a NURS Dept. Credit Exam In Person at DLTC
NURS Departmental Credit Exam
Nursing Departmental Credit exams provide licensed practical nurses (LPNs) the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge of required nursing content. Testing is offered three times per year: March through April, June through July, and October through November.
- A departmental credit exam may be attempted only ONE time. Testing is offered three times per year: March through April, June through July, and October through November.
- LPNs are eligible to take this exam only AFTER receiving testing approval by the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
- Each test has an 120-minute time limit, and you must have a minimum score of 850 to pass the exam.
On-Site Testing Registration Instructions for the Distance Learning Testing Center (DLTC) Reservations and payment for in-person testing will be through RegisterBlast.
- The registration fee is $23.50 paid online via RegisterBlast (credit card, debit card or e-check) and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- The exam unit cost is $47 plus tax paid via the Elsevier-Evolve portal. *Please note: unit prices may change without notice.
- You must bring a valid form of ID (non-expired --driver's license, passport, or other government issued identification with picture and signature) to the testing center.

There is a two step process for registering for an exam at WKU DLTC.
Step 1: Register for an appointment at WKU DLTC using this link: Register online now!
After clicking on the Register online now link, select the following:
- A. Choose a group: Non- Academic Exam - Exams not associated with a WKU Course
- B. Choose a group: NURS Departmental Exam @ DLTC
- C. Choose a group: Maternity or Mental Health Departmental Exam @ DLTC
- Complete the rest of the steps and add to cart then make payment.
Step 2: Create an Evolve account, register for a time slot, and then pay for the exam unit, in Evolve that corresponds to the date you scheduled with DLTC using one of these registration links.

- Login to Evolve or create an Evolve account
- Click the register button
- Click the register button beside the date and time window you would like to take the exam.
- Go to Registered exams, click make payment beside the exam you are registering for, and complete payment prompts.
- The exam unit MUST be paid for before you can launch your exam on exam day.
