Photo Identification Information
Valid photo identification must be presented at check-in on exam day to test. You must bring a physical ID to take your exam. ALL IDs must be unexpired. We cannot accept photocopies or pictures of IDs on phones - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Students who are minors can get an identification card from the DMV prior taking their exam. For more information, please contact your local DMV.
Some exams may require two (2) forms of ID. Please refer to your confirmation email or your exam sponsor for the type of IDs required.
Primary ID
- Government-issued driver's license, including temporary licenses with all required elements.
- U.S. Dept. of State driver's license
- U.S. learner's permit
- National/state/country identification card
- Passport
- Passport cards
- Military ID
- Military ID for spouses and dependents
- Employee ID
- School ID (for PHSC exams, i.e., PERT, FCLE, etc.)
Secondary ID
- Credit card* (A credit card can be used as a primary form of ID only if it contains both a photo and a signature and is not expired. Any credit card can be used as a secondary form of ID, as long as it contains a signature and is not expired. This includes major credit cards, such as VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. It also includes department store and gasoline credit cards.)
